Witness – Acts 3:1–26

Sunday, April 29: Witness

Acts 3:1–26

Imagine for a second that you have been wheelchair-bound your whole life. You have never been able to walk.

Now, imagine one day that you are instantly and miraculously healed so that you have full use of your legs. What would be the first thing you would do?

This was not just a hypothetical exercise for a man in Acts 3. The Scriptures tell us that he was lame from birth, until one day he was healed through an encounter with Peter. A throng of people witnessed the healing so, needless to say, there was a bit of a commotion. Peter jumped on the opportunity and began to preach the gospel, insisting that he didn’t heal the man—Jesus did.

Now, this story is more than just a demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit. It’s a call to action. Join us this week as we look at Peter’s sermon in Acts 3 and see what God wants us to do in response.

See you then!
