Find God. Be a Friend. Make a Difference.

Mother’s Day and Baby Dedication

Sunday, May 8: Baby Dedication and Mother’s Day

This Sunday is Mother’s Day. I am grateful for all the ways my mom sacrificed for me and for the things that she taught me about life and faith. I am also grateful for my wife—especially for the way she loves our children and for all the time she puts into teaching them. I am looking forward to at least one day of the year (there should be more!) when we take time to recognize all the ways moms make life better.Thank you, moms!

Being a parent is hard. For some challenges, you can say “No one has written a book about how to …” For parenting, it’s the opposite. When you search for “parenting” on Amazon, it limits you to the top 60,000 hits. There are a million books on parenting, and none of them are definitive.

We need a family to help us raise our children. Biological families can be very helpful in this regard, but more than anything else we need the family of God to help us raise our children.

This Sunday, we will be celebrating baby dedications! It will be a chance for parents to present their little ones to the congregation and commit to raising them in the Lord. It will also be an opportunity for the congregation to affirm these kids and recognize that we need them. It’s going to be special and you don’t want to miss it!

Celebrate the moms in your life this weekend! Join us for the baby dedications, as well. It’s an honor to be a part of this important moment in a young family’s life.

See you on Sunday!

Service times are at 9:30 & 11:00. If you can’t make it in person, you can watch live at those times.
