Before we look at the book of Ruth today, we will recognize that Mother’s Day is a great day. If you’ve been attending BF for any amount of time, you know we have amazing moms, and many of them are new moms! Our nurseries are full of life.

We’re celebrating new moms and their families with baby dedications this week. This is an opportunity to publicly acknowledge their children as blessings from God and commit to His plan for their lives. As a community of God’s people, we will pledge to partner with these families as they raise their children in the ways of the Lord. We will be honoring them before the sermon in each service.

We will also dive into another mother’s story, found in the book of Ruth. As we follow her journey and commitment to God and her family, we see some amazing results that come from living life as a godly mother. We cannot dismiss the providence and power of God the Father while admiring the dedication and grit of this loving mother.
