Are you considering a visit to Believers Fellowship? Great! We would love to see you here. Have some questions? Here are answers to a few of the more common ones.
Where is the church located? What time does it start?
Believers Fellowship is located at 4112 Hunt St NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98335. Sunday services are at 9:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
What should I wear?
We are a pretty casual church. There is no dress code, and people are comfortable in either shorts, jeans or slacks. If you wear a tie, you might be asked to take it off since you will be making the pastor look bad.
What is the worship style?
Our worship style is unlike anything you have ever heard in church (seriously). We love the arts and want our worship “style” to originate in the musicians rather than the senior pastor. As a result, our worship style varies depending on who is leading us. Sometimes we sing folk versions of hymns led by an acoustic guitar and a banjo. Sometimes we sing contemporary worship songs written by artists like Hillsong United, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, or John Mark McMillan. Other times, we rock out to original songs written by our band and led with electric guitar. (We believe Jesus likes rock ‘n roll.)
Below are some sample videos taken from a few of our worship gatherings. You can also download a free album from our worship band.
What is the teaching like?
We use a team-teaching model, and we rotate between teaching books of the Bible and topics. Gary Albert and Matt Edwards teach the majority of the time. Below are some sample sermons. Click here for more sermon audio.
What about my kids?
While the whole family worships together for the first portion of the service, we have excellent preschool, children’s and youth programs during the second half of the service (the teaching time). We will let you know when it is time for them to head to their respective classrooms. While the middle school only meets during the second service, the children’s ministry meets during both. High school students stay in for teaching time. A nursery is available for kids under four throughout both services. For more information about these programs, click on the following links. Will I be asked to give any money?
No. While we encourage the people who regularly attend Believers Fellowship to give toward the continuation of its ministry, we never pass an offering plate. Offering boxes are located in the back of the worship space for anyone who wishes to give.
Will I have to stand up and say anything?
Nope. We know that church can be a scary place if you’re not used to it, and we are completely fine with you sneaking in the back and checking us out before you get more involved.
