Find God. Be a Friend. Make a Difference.

The Cloves with Sound & Fury

On Friday, July 22 the Cloves will be joining us for a summer concert. The show starts at 7:00 and the doors open at 6:30. There will be free coffee from MarKee and we will be selling pastries for $1. Tickets are $5 and you can purchase them at the door or ahead of time at http://gigharborshows.bpt.me/. All proceeds will help us do concerts like this in the future.

The purpose of events like this is to promote local artists. We have a great sounding space, and we want to use it to give back to the community and support the arts in Gig Harbor and Tacoma. There is a lot of great music coming out of Tacoma, but not many artists cross the bridge to play in Gig Harbor. We want to change that!

We need a couple of volunteers to help with set up, tear down, and selling tickets. If you can help, you get into the show for free, get some free pastries, and get a free CD from each of the bands. Contact Walker Sherman (walker@believersfellowship.net) if you can help.

The Cloves are a Tacoma favorite who are crossing the bridge to treat Gig Harbor to an evening of Contemporary Folk, ethereal harmonies, and thoughtful lyrics. Their music has been featured on the television show Grey’s Anatomy and last New Year’s Eve they filled the Pantages Theater for an unforgettable performance! You can check them out at https://thecloves.bandcamp.com/. Below is a video of their song “A Million Reasons.”

Joining the Cloves will be Sound & Fury, described as “raw and gritty straight up Rock N’ Roll with roots in the Blues and Outlaw Country.” If you love Johnny Cash, Hendrix, and Pink Floyd you’ll love them. Sound & Fury features our own Walker Sherman as well as local legends Tom Bailey and Neil Colombini. You can hear them at https://soundandthefury4.bandcamp.com/releases. Below is a video for their song “Coming Clean.”
