What To Expect

When You Walk Through Our Doors

Are you considering a visit to Believers Fellowship? Great! We would love to see you here. Have some questions? Here are answers to a few of the more common ones so that you might know what to expect.

Believers Fellowship is located at 4112 Hunt St NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98335. In-person services are at 9:00 & 11:00 a.m. Both services are also broadcast online under Watch Live and on YouTube @believersgigharbor.

We are a pretty casual church. There is no dress code, and people are comfortable in either shorts, jeans, or slacks. If you wear a tie, you might be asked to take it off since you might make the pastor look bad.

Our musical worship style and sound vary week to week. We don’t ever want to put a lid on our creative potential in the corporate worship gatherings, we value diversity and individuality in our musicians and worship leaders because the church is made up of diverse and unique individuals. We love to sing as a church! We believe that something special happens when we all gather together to sing truth and to remind ourselves of the reality of the God we worship. If gathered worship as a church body is the destination, music is the vehicle that gets us there.

We use a team-teaching model, and we rotate between teaching books of the Bible and topics. Johnny Pearson and Gary Albert teach the majority of the time. Below are some sample sermons so you can learn what to expect. Click here for more sermon audio.

While the whole family worships together for the first portion of the service, we have excellent preschool, children’s, and youth programs during the second half of the service (the teaching time). We will let you know when it is time for them to head to their respective classrooms. Children’s Ministry meets during both services. Fifth Grade and Middle School meet during the 11:00 service only. High school students stay in for teaching time. A nursery is available for kids under four throughout both services. For more information about these programs, click on the following links: Children’s Ministry, Middle School, and High School. We use an electronic check-in system to help keep our kids safe. Stop by the Welcome Desk to check in your child if this is your first visit. A short video on how it all works, so you know what to expect, is below. Save time by creating a profile for your family in Church Center! You can securely enter all the information about you and your child so that you won’t have to wait in line on Sunday morning. Set up a profile using the Church Center app, or use the web version.

No. While we encourage the people who regularly attend Believers Fellowship to give toward the continuation of its ministry, we never pass an offering plate. Offering boxes are located in the back of the worship space for anyone who wishes to give or you can visit our online giving page.

Nope. We know that church can be a scary place if you’re not used to it, and we are completely fine with you sneaking in the back and checking us out before you get more involved.

Come and visit us at the Welcome Desk to grab one of several brochures or ask us questions. We use Church Center to sign up for groups or register for events. You can learn all about it by following this link.
