Hebrews 11 Hall of Faith- Abraham and Sarah

Abraham & Sarah
This week we look at a man who took all that he owned, left the land that he felt most comfortable in, and went where God told him to go. This man spent his journey in constant amazement of how God provided. He spent his journey studying God and learning how to live a life that pleased God. He continued to move until he landed in the place that God had in mind. Long before this man knew where he and his family would end up, God knew. God called him to this place, he was sure of the fact that God would use him to impact the lives of people around him; that through this man’s life, God could be seen.
My name is Johnny Pearson, and I am that man.
This description fits a host of other people, too. On Sunday, we will see it clearly in Abraham. Abraham is known as the patriarch of religions (Judaism, Islam, and Christianity all trace their roots back to him!). Abraham certainly wasn’t perfect, but he had faith! Hebrews tells us he left everything he had to follow God. What did that look like? How did Abraham have such faith? What was said to him to inspire such confidence and assurance?
