Hebrews 11 Hall of Faith - Conquerors and Martyrs

Hebrews 11:32-40  

In 1805, 1st Lt O'Bannon, USMC, was presented with a curved sword known as a Mameluke, in recognition for his perseverance and heroism against the Barbary Pirates.  

It was the first time that the U.S. flag was raised in victory on foreign soil.  

But this is not the subject of our Sunday morning sermon.  

 We are looking at something better...  

In Hebrews 11 the author's testimony reaches a crescendo as he shows us how the faith of believers who have gone before all point to Jesus. We will see that:  

 We live and die by faith.
By faith we are made strong out of weakness.
By faith we bear witness.
By faith we are made perfect.
