Habakkuk 3: 16-19

Habakkuk & The Cross

I used to really enjoy music. I still like music, but not as much as I used to. I think I used to value it more because it was less accessible. We needed the actual physical tape or CD, and didn’t have endless storage for it all, so we had to choose wisely the ten that would fit in our visor CD holder.

To make the cut, the whole album had to be good. I'm sure you've bought an album because you liked one song, and realized quickly the rest were not that good. (High school Johnny is talking to you, Chumbawamba).

Enter "The Greatest Hits" album. This genius idea put all of the best songs on the same CD. I probably had three greatest hits albums constantly on repeat when I was in high school.  As we come to a close on Habakkuk, we will spend a bit of time recapping this book’s greatest hits.

We see human emotion meeting God's justice and mercy.

Habakkuk teaches us so much about who we are, and even more about who God is.

In these three chapters, we see ourselves in a world that has gone awry.  Do we land in the same place Habakkuk does? Can we say with confidence that God helps us stand in hard times? Let's unpack this together and grow in our faith!
