Family Faith- Mother's Day & Baby Dedications

Mother’s Day has become a natural rhythm for BF to celebrate Baby Dedications. While families can choose to dedicate their child at any time of year, Mother’s Day feels like a special gift to them. 

Before we celebrate, we’re going to look at two ways God has chosen to influence the world: the family and the Church. In Deuteronomy 6, we see the first game plan for passing faith on to the next generation. As families, we talk with and teach our kids through the natural rhythms of everyday life. 

But in Matthew 12, Jesus expands that circle of influence. He declares that the family of God also has a place in discipleship. That means these families, who are declaring that they will raise their kids in a Jesus-honoring way, are also depending on all of us to help pass the faith on to the next generation. We are part of the family of God, called to disciple the person in front of us.
