Ephesians 2: 1-10

There is something about grace that causes us to make a big deal out of it.
There are hundreds of worship songs about grace, it’s a consistent baby name (number one in Ireland!), and pastors talk about it nearly every Sunday. So why do we make such a big deal about grace?
The ‘why’ is found in this week’s passage.
Paul explains the way we formerly walked…the condition we found ourselves in before believing in Christ. We were in a pretty bad place. That there are still people walking around in this condition should break our hearts. We were also dead in our sins, but now we are made alive because of God’s mercy, love, and grace. It is by grace that we have been saved. Amen!
This week we see how we formally walked, and how we are called to walk now, in light of our new identity.
