Ephesians 1:3-14
Do you realize the word ’trinity’ is not found in the Bible?
Although the word ’trinity’ isn’t there, the idea is everywhere in the New Testament, and this week’s passage clearly presents it. After the introduction to Ephesians we looked at last week, Paul now moves to a benediction of praise! This sentence is the longest in the New Testament and full of key doctrines of Christianity.
Paul starts off praising God…and keeps building on that praise as he continues. We will see how each member of the Trinity has a role in our Salvation. It’s beautiful language, and it helps us remember that we are indeed ‘blessed by God in every spiritual blessing’ (Eph. 1:3). This Sunday, we seek to better understand the key teachings of the Trinity and our own Salvation!
