Ephesians 1: 15-23

How’s your walk? I have loved asking this question and taking the time to listen as people share how they are walking with Christ in their current season. Prayer comes up pretty often, and this week’s verses are one long prayer. Paul prays for his Ephesians brothers and sisters, whenever he thinks of them. I love that habit! If you struggle setting a time for prayer each day, there is good news and bad news.

The good news is that we are encouraged to pray without ceasing! We can pray anytime and anywhere. With our eyes open or with them closed. We can pray while we are walking or driving. We can even pray at work while we listen to colleagues talk about life. God hears our prayers and we can pray anytime! But this leads to some bad news…

The bad news is when we have the mindset of “we can pray anytime” we might not pray at any time. Our mindset has to shift. Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians holds some answers to shifting our habits so we pray more consistently, as we learn who we are and how to live out our faith.

See you Sunday, when we will unpack how Paul prayed, and look at the three things he prayed for.
