Baptism Sunday (Romans 6: 3-11)

November 23, 2025

This weekend, we take a break from James’ autopsy of our heart (a collective sigh goes through the church). Studying James has been a true work of God, as we learn what a Living Faith looks like. We will return to finish the last two weeks of our study after this Sunday’s special service!

This week, we celebrate and give thanks for the new life we have in Christ. There are SIX scheduled baptisms for the second service! Let's pack the house as we celebrate these brothers and sisters in Christ, as they publicly declare their faith and the new life that is promised to those who believe!

Romans 6 reveals a beautiful picture of what water baptism represents in our Christian walk. The process of dying to ourselves (going under the water) and rising to new life in Christ is a great reminder for us all. We will unpack that idea and examine this new life, all through the lens of gratitude. The new life in Christ is not a burden—it’s true freedom.
