A Living Faith (James 4: 11-17)

Last week our Living Faith series looked at the idea of submitting to God. This is key to having a faith that is vibrant and infectious! What flows from humbly submitting to Him? Healthier relationships and a faith that is lived out beyond Sunday morning.
These are the topics we will look at on Sunday in James chapter 4. The way we treat others and the way we live out our plans are huge parts of our lives. Is God involved in your relationships and in the decisions you make?
How would the world change if we brought our faith into every relationship and plan that we have?
Think about it this way...one relationship study noted that American adults have an average of approximately 12 to 14 social interactions per day. Multiplied over a week (7 days), this results in roughly 84 to 98 contacts.
Time for a gut check. How many of those interactions are we intentional about inviting God into? Can we dream a bit? Can we envision a society where we love our neighbor as ourself? Can we look at our daily schedule and pray “God, who needs to hear the gospel today?” or “God, I want to do these activities, but is this what is best for my relationship with you and with my family?”
A living faith takes faith seriously… and not just on Sunday morning, not just at church, not just when it is convenient. A living faith is a lifestyle.
