A New High School Director Is Coming!

For the past two years, Believers Fellowship Student Ministry (BFSM) has been incredibly blessed to have amazing residents come through our ministry and faithfully serve our students while growing in their own ministry leadership and calling. We are so thankful for the investment they have made in our church and in the lives of our students.

Over the past year, Johnny Pearson and Jon Lucas have been praying and searching for the right person to step into a permanent leadership role within our student ministry. 

After many interviews, conversations, and an in-person visit, we are excited to officially introduce our new High School Director who will begin this fall, — Skyler Koontz!

Skyler and his wife, Alycia, are incredibly passionate about youth ministry and are excited to make the move from Pennsylvania to the Pacific Northwest. Skyler has served for several years as a full-time youth pastor at his church, leading and serving in a variety of ministry roles. He graduated from Lancaster Bible College in 2023 and has a deep love for family ministry, which especially stood out to us as we looked for someone to help strengthen and grow our student ministry alongside Jon.

With Skyler joining the team this fall, Johnny will step into the role of Discipleship and Family Pastor, overseeing both Jon and Skyler as they lead our middle school and high school ministries.

We are incredibly excited for this next season of ministry and are thankful for how God continues to provide for and grow BFSM.
