Proverbs 27:6
Proverbs are words of life. They have the power to build up and foster growth. Sometimes the best times of growth come from “wounds” or correction from a friend. Jesus can “wound” us by pruning areas of our life that are centered around the wrong things. He wants to bring about the peaceful fruit of righteousness. Not only does Jesus do this, but He also calls each of us to participate in this work of correcting others as well.

We need to be humble, aligned to God’s Word, and in relationship with the people that God calls us to correct. It has to be done the right way with the right motivations. Thankfully, the Lord provides the way through His Word and the power to do what is right in the midst of tough conversations.

So, what does the Lord want to “wound” or “prune” in your life? Who is the Lord calling you to “wound” or lovingly correct?
