Find God. Be a Friend. Make a Difference.

Ryker Lutjens

Ryker is here for the summer serving as the guys’ High School intern. He is a current student at Moody Bible Institute, studying Pastoral Ministry with an interdisciplinary in Youth Ministry. His plan is to do youth ministry as long as the Lord lets him, and he can’t wait to spend time with students this summer and point them to Jesus!

If you had a day completely to yourself (and you weren’t allowed to do something responsible), what would you do?

I’d start with breakfast (preferably cinnamon rolls) at a hole-in-the-wall diner, where I’d study Genesis 1-3. Then, I would play a game of ultimate frisbee (on a beautiful field surrounded by rolling hills ablaze with wildflowers). Later, I’d find a quiet nook to read (something by GK Chesterton). To top it off, I would host a board game night with friends.

Dog or cat? Why?

Definitely dogs. The following joke says it best:

Dog Theology: My owner feeds me, gives me a nice, comfortable place to sleep, and provides all I need. She must be God.

Cat Theology: My owner feeds me, gives me a nice, comfortable place to sleep, and provides all I need. I must be God.
