Find God. Be a Friend. Make a Difference.

Steadfast – Nehemiah 6:1-7:3

Sunday, May 1: Steadfast

Nehemiah 6:1–7:3

Have you ever been in a place where you had to make a choice to either give up, or get up?

I’m sure that you have. And those challenges may be big or small. This church is full of normal people who have been through times like that as well. Like I said, it could be big or small. It could be from the outside of your trusted friends, or even from within.

And the Bible is full of stories like this as well. Someone is faced with a choice: To give up and hope that the challenge goes away or get up and know that God is not done. For what God has started in you, He will complete it. (Philippians 1:6)

In the book of Nehemiah we have joined the Jews in rebuilding their wall. We have been encouraged in the face of discouragement. We grabbed a brick and got to work. We answered what our problem is. We have committed to grow in character.

And this Sunday is no different. We have the opportunity to join the storyline of the Bible to be a people who get up.

See you Sunday!
