Sacred Spaces – Hebrews 8:1–13

Sunday, June 25: Sacred Spaces

Hebrews 8:1–13

This week we conclude our Sacred Spaces series by looking at Hebrews 8:1–13. Starting next week, we are launching into a summer series on Christology (what we believe about Jesus) called “Who Is This Man?” I am looking forward to spending the summer talking about Jesus! Before we launch into our series on Christology, we have one more week in Hebrews. And this week, Hebrews is going to remind us why Jesus is so important. Hebrews 8:1–13 summarizes everything that the book has been saying to this point: Jesus is our great high priest. He’s great because his temple covers the whole earth, he’s great because he offered himself on our behalf, and he’s great because he mediates a new covenant.

In short, Jesus shows us the Father. If we have a longing to connect to God, Jesus is the only way there. All other roads dead end.

Join us this week as we look at the priesthood of Jesus and conclude our series on seeing God in the everyday. See you then!
