Baptism & Father’s Day

Sunday, June 19: Baptism & Father’s Day

G.K. Chesterton wrote, “Christianity is a sacramental religion, that is, a religion of the flesh.” That’s true! While much of God’s work is done in our hearts, He has left us with signs of His work that remind us that our faith involves our flesh. Baptism is one of these signs. When we go down in the water, we are reminded that we died to sin with Christ, and when we rise up we are reminded of our hope for resurrection. It’s a powerful moment!

This Sunday we will be having a baptism service. We have several folks lined up to be baptized in each service, and it’s going to be special. This is one of the highlights of the year for me. It’s an honor and a privilege to be a part of such an important day.

Join us on Sunday as we worship Jesus, look at Paul’s words on baptism, and then celebrate with our fellow believers as they take this important step of faith! See you then!
