Abide – 1 John 2:7–14

It’s safe to say that actions speak louder than words. We hear these expressions frequently: “Don’t tell me, show me” or “Talk is cheap.” People can say whatever they want, but at the end of the day, how they live their lives speaks volumes more than their words.

This Sunday at Believers Fellowship we’ll be in 1 John 2:7-14 for our Abide series. As Matt pointed out last week, our Christian faith may be hard, but it is simple: Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and love your brother. In his first letter, the Apostle John spends considerable time talking about Christian ethics, especially this idea of love. This begs the question though: What is love?

This week we’ll take a look at what love means, and how do we, as Christians, love our brother, sister, and neighbor.
